Dear Mission-Partner,

Prayer is a great privilege that we have been given as God's children. We can reach God's heart and petition Him with our desires and requests. It is the desire of CfaN and hopefully yourself to see Africa saved, washed in the blood of the lamb, redeemed as a continent. This can only be achieved through prayer and obedience (action).

Every 3 months we will feature 3 different countries to focus on in prayer. Please use this information to pray for the continent of Africa and its amazing, wonderful people.

Also please watch the video message that I recorded earlier this year. We are seeing a massive wave of salvation sweeping across Africa and fully expect the continuation of the harvest in 2012. We need YOUR help to make this a REALITY, please give a gift towards our work today. Your gift will help ensure the Gospel is proclaimed in Africa and beyond.

Together we will see Africa saved!

Yours in Christ

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda

Morocco

Morocco is one of the most westerly nations in Africa. The country is a Kingdom with a constitutional monarchy and an elected parliament. The country has close ties to Europe, being a French / Spanish protectorate until 1956, and is known for being a Moderate Islamic country where democracy is valued and encouraged and there is an openness to the Western world.

In recent years there has been pressure on Christians in the country and missionaries have been expelled.

Population: 32.2million
Main Language(s): Arabic
Religions: Islam
Restricted Religious Freedom
Leader(s): King Mohammed VI, Abdelilah Benkirane (Prime Minister)

Points for prayer

  • Religious Freedom
Islam is the official religion of the country and while tolerated other religions have in recent years seen an increase in persecution. Various Christian missionaries have been expelled and local Christians arrested and harassed. Islam is vary much a part of being Moroccan so those leaving the religion are subject to persecution not just from the state but from their fellow Moroccans. Pray for a greater degree of religious freedom.
  • Growth in the Church
Pray for the Moroccan Church. The Church in Morocco is an indigenous church that are meeting in homes. Many believers are isolated from others but there is a growing informal network of house fellowships. Pray that the body would grow and that those who are not connected would find a local house fellowship to connect with. Pray for boldness in evangelism.
  • Militant Islam
Pray against militant Islam which is growing in the country. Extremists are finding recruits in the impressionable poor unemployed youth. Most Moroccans do not want to see the rise of violent Islam in their country. Pray for Christians to rise up and reach out to the youth.
