Living a Life of Fire, the new autobiography from Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is an amazing life story of one of the world’s most successful promoters of the Christian message. This book isn’t just the facts about a preacher’s life – it delivers a superlative read that will captivate Christians and non-Christians alike.

Bonnke’s life story is truly amazing. He often says he went from “zero to hero,” which is an accurate portrayal of the youngest son of preacher from a small village in Northern Germany. Today, the Bonnke name is known around the globe and is synonymous with gigantic meetings in Africa where not just thousands, not just tens of thousands, not just hundreds of thousands, but millions of people are won to Christ – in a single meeting. The most enjoyable parts of this book are the stories of God’s intervention into the lives men and woman – some of the most extraordinary accounts published today.

The “fire” in this title refers to Bonnke’s continual partnership with and reliance on the Holy Spirit throughout his life and ministry. This book is not a Pentecostal apologetic, but a challenge to Christian’s everywhere to embrace the same Biblical doctrine which Bonnke has employed with astonishing success.

Bonnke’s life is a model for generations of preachers to come and his story provides the inspiration for any Christian, anywhere to do great things for God.

Living a Life of Fire will set you on fire for preaching the gospel to the lost. rnIt is also so encouraging to see how God has moved in one man, what would it be like if more were as willing with a Only Believe motion forward with the gospel and then God will take care of the rest.

If you are looking at this book you have no doubt heard of Reinhard Bonnke and the Jesus he serves. At over 600 pages you would think this is a BIG book to read but once you get going, you will read it fast. I am an incredibly slow reader but managed to polish this off in a week! When you read the stories and see how God has used one man to change the world, quite literally you are left with only 2 thoughts. Either this book is a complete fabrication (which undoubtedly some people will claim) or Jesus truly is real. The sheer amount of miracles, the number of people that gather to hear Jesus preached by the CfaN team, it is simply undeniable that Jesus isn't real. Many of the facts in this book are easily verifiable by most people and when you add them all together the sheer volume is tesimony to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the world today. If this doesn't excite you as a Christian, you are probably dead already.

I couldn't put it down. 634 pages in less than two weeks and I immediately signed up for the course. I was so encouraged, excited, and inspired by the stories of salvation and healing that at seventy-one, I know that God is not finished with me yet.

Reinhard Bonnke's book is better written than I expected. (No thick German accent like when he speaks) It is a faith walk adventure. It is marvelous what God can do with the obedience of of a few good men passing the torch of Holy ghost fire from one generation to the next. His story reminds me of the book "Like a Mighty Wind". Only instead of a few brief chapters, this narrative is about a growing and continuing manifestation of God's work that is decades long. It illustrates the transformation and "Last Days" urgent acceleration of the Lord's Harvest. From lonely remote missionaries gleaning a few handfuls of souls over a life time of thankless work to evangelists like Bonnke whose obedience allowed the Father to put him at the throttle of a giant combine harvester where entire nations are reaped for Christ and a million converts in a single open air event are harvested.

For most of us the "still small voice" within is still too small. Bonnke shows what is possible if we listen more actively and obey promptly relying on what is in HIS pockets and not on what is in our own... (meaning not only money but talent, the words we speak and resources.) If we are faithful to use the bread and fishes we have on hand God will multiply the rest. And that is the point. It should be more than just a "good read" which leaves us with a "well that was nice... lucky for them" after taste. Life is full of "if onlys" only when we let them go. Like the book of Acts we are the next chapter. And Bonnke shows us how to accomplish mighty things in our own life. Listen. Discern. Obey and do.

I have read a lot of biographies of great men- this book is in a class well above all the rest.

Not only is it wonderfully talented witting and story-telling, anyone who has met the author would tell you, it clearly has the authors voice.

So many of the stories told are so marvelous future generations will question if they were if fact true but we are in one way or another witnesses to the truth of these events-God in our day moved.

Lastly, the God Reinhard Bonnke describes in this book as the God he serves, is all the best attributes man
can hope God really is- experience this God first hand in this book.
