Providential Timing

January 25, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

Our hearts have been broken as we have received the reports about the unrest and violence has broken out across Nigeria; a nation that we love dearly.  The situation is so dire at the moment that if we had planned to conduct campaigns there at this time, they would have to be cancelled.  But the Lord knew what was coming and led us to venture out into countries where we have not been in a long time.

After a decade of holding campaigns almost exclusively in Nigeria, this year, in obedience to that word of the Lord, we are launching out all across East and West Africa proclaiming the Gospel and the timing seems absolutely providential.

Tonight we are in the West African nation of Burkina Faso in the city of Ouagadougou (pronounced Waga-doo-goo). Our very first meeting tonight was attended by over 70,000 people!  There is a tremendous groundswell of excitement and anticipation for what the Lord will do here this week.

We witnessed a number of amazing miracle testimonies tonight including several lame who can now walk, a boy whose blind eye can now see, a mute woman who can now speak, a couple of paraplegics that are now healed'¦among others.

As always our greatest joy is to see tens of thousands of people responding to the Gospel and being ushered into the Kingdom of God.  I'm sure that all Heaven is rejoicing tonight!

Please make it a point to pray for us this week and for the people of Burkina Faso.  The best is yet to come!

A Demonstration of Power

January 26, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

The Apostle Paul said, "My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power' (1 Cor. 2:4)

This is what we experienced tonight in Burkina Faso '“ a demonstration of the power of God!  Have a look at the attached picture of one man who was confined to this strange wheelchair for over 14 years.  Tonight Jesus healed him and he can walk!  Imagine the joy of the crowd when suddenly, that wheelchair/bicycle was lifted into the air and made it's way up to the platform.  I've included a picture that I took with my mobile phone of what it looked like from the platform.

A young man testified that he has been demon possessed for the past 6 years.  Every night he said the demons would torment him.  Last night, as I was praying, he said he could feel the demons stirring inside of him and since then they have not returned to torment him.

A young woman who was partially deaf and dumb was healed tonight along with an elderly lady whose hand was stiff and paralysed for many years and others.

This morning the Fire Conference began with the local pastors and Church workers.  Many of them have travelled from all over Burkina Faso to receive an impartation of the power of the Holy Spirit.  This week their day of Pentecost will "fully come.'

Thank you for your prayers. God is moving mightily in these meetings.

Friend, please take time to share this report with your friends and family. I pray the Lord increase your faith for miracles and healing in your life and the lives of your loved ones.

An Unexpected Outpouring

January 27, 2012

Dear Missions Partners,

The Fire Conference this morning was truly remarkable.  I was in the midst of preaching about the fire of God when the Holy Spirit fell. The crowd erupted into spontaneous and fervent prayer, which went on and on.  I was taken back and overwhelmed. I never did finish my sermon!  We have already experienced a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and we haven't even come to the final day yet!  I guess Jesus couldn't wait until tomorrow.

Tonight the crowd climbed to over 160,000.  That means that over 1% of the population of the entire nation of Burkina Faso, was in our meeting tonight!

What a mighty God we serve, and what an honour that he has chosen us to bring in such a harvest of souls. The miracles of healing were heart-moving. We saw so many wheelchairs and crutches raised in the crowd.  Jesus was moving and healing people all over that massive field.  Hallelujah!

Tomorrow is the final day of the Fire Conference and we are full of anticipation.  Please continue to pray for us.

More to come.

A Mass Baptism of Fire!

January 28, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

The fourth night of our Gospel Campaign here in Burkina Faso has just come to a close '“ and what a meeting it was!  The Holy Spirit was poured out on the multitude in a mass baptism of Fire!  Dramatic signs and wonders accompanied the preaching of Gospel.  An old mama who was totally blind for two years received her sight.  A woman with a lump in each of her breasts, said that during the prayer both lumps vanished.  A totally deaf woman was also completely healed along with another blind girl.

This morning was the Grand Finale of the Fire Conference.  After Rev. Peter van den Berg preached it was my turn.  But before I could take the microphone the Holy Spirit was already falling.  We just took our hands off the 'reigns' and let the Holy Spirit have His way.  It was glorious!

This afternoon, I was invited to pray over the fellowship of evangelical churches celebrating their 50-year anniversary in the national stadium.  The Churches here are over the moon at what is happening in their nation. I'm sure they will be overflowing with new converts tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Campaign and I think Jesus has saved the best for last.  Please continue to uphold us in prayer as we swing the harvest sickle here in Burkina Faso one more time.

Grand Finale

January 29, 2012

Dear Mission Partners,

We just returned from the final meeting of this campaign in Burkina Faso.  I preached about forgiveness and a mass-conversion followed. The field exploded with many thousands of people calling on the name of Jesus for salvation and miracles of healing followed the preaching of the Word.

We feel that we have been exposed to what awaits us in heaven, when the crowd, which no one can number, gathers before the throne of God. Thank you so much for praying for us this week.

As soon as the completed decision-cards are counted I will let you know.

Decision Card Count from Burkina Faso is In!

Dear Mission Partners,

We have just received some wonderful news from West Africa.  The decision card count is in from the Burkina Faso '“ over the five days of meetings 429,255 people received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord!  In a nation where the entire population is around 16-million, this is a RICH HARVEST for sure.  We are rejoicing!

We are eternally grateful for the sponsor who was able to pay for the Gospel Campaign in full, we nearly had to cancel this campaign, as are hundreds of thousands of Burkinabé people whose lives have been changed forever.
