The crowd nearly doubled tonight! The word has gone out. Jesus is alive in Calabar, Nigeria!
Tens of thousands responded to the Gospel. Thousands said they’d received a healing (indicated by raised hands)...
We are back in Nigeria! This is the beginning of a new season of Gospel campaigns in Africa that I believe, will eclipse everything we have seen thus far in the harvest. I believe we are entering a “Decade of Double Harvest” that will culminate with more than 150-million souls coming into the Kingdom!
The Prophet Elijah is a strong example in the Bible of how prayer can change situations. In 1 Kings we see Israel has been plagued by a famine for 3 and a half years. God chooses to speak to Elijah and promises that He will send rain:
“And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year saying, ‘Go show thy-self to Ahab and I will send rain upon the earth.’” (1 Kings 18:1)
Before Jesus ascended into heaven after his time here on earth, his last recorded and life changing words to his disciples were "Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (Romans 8:14)
Jesus also spoke to his disciples about the Holy Spirit, who would come after he had left, saying, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
In Acts 12, King Herod chooses to kill James, one of Jesus’ disciples, to please the Jews, and then he arrested Peter. There was much celebrating, however the believers were shaken by it and turned to prayer “[fervent] prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him”.
This all happened during the time of Passover, and Peter was chained in prison, ready for his execution.
